Hitman 3 To Rebrand As Hitman: World Of Assassination Later This Month

IO Interactive have announced that Hitman 3 will rebrand as Hitman: World Of Assassination later this month.

The development studio announced the news in a blog post today (January 3rd, 2023), confirming that from January 26th, the standalone Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 games will be removed from all storefronts and two sole products will replace the existing methods of buying and accessing the three Hitman games.

The two editions available from later this month include Hitman: World Of Assassination, which is priced at $70 and includes Hitman 1 Game Of The Year Access Pass, Hitman 2 Standard Access Pass, and the Hitman 3 base game.

Meanwhile, the Hitman: World Of Assassination Deluxe Pack – priced at $30 – includes the Hitman 2 Expansion Access Pack, the Hitman 3 Deluxe Pack, and the Hitman 3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection.

Anyone that has already purchased some of the franchise’s games or DLCs will be able to “complete the set” on Steam or grab them separately at a reduced price in the in-game store.

According to the blog post, current Hitman 3 owners will get a free upgrade to the Hitman: World Of Assassination bundle for free on all platforms.

A statement by the studio reads: “We’re absolutely certain that these changes will have a hugely positive effect on existing players and new players alike. It will also make our lives a lot easier too, there’s no doubting that.

“For many players, it will mean free content to enjoy. For others, it will mean significantly cheaper DLC prices. For new players, who probably aren’t reading this here, they’ll have a much better experience buying Hitman games.”
