Star Wars Jedi: Survivor To Appear At The Game Awards

EA and Respawn Entertainment have confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be making an appearance at The Game Awards on Thursday (December 8th).

The highly-anticipated game – a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – was announced in January this year before a CGI trailer was released in May with little information on the game except for a 2023 release date.

That changed today (December 5th) when EA and Respawn confirmed that the game will be appearing at The Game Awards this week with gameplay shown, and shared what could be the game’s official key art.

The news comes hours after a Steam listing for the game confirmed a March 15th release date along with information on the game’s story and details of the game’s pre-order bonuses, all of which have since been removed.

As shared by Wario64 on Twitter, the game continues Cal Kestis’ story and is set five years after the original game, as Cal continues to fight against the Empire while the galaxy “descends further into darkness”.

The Steam listing confirms that Cal, no longer a Padawan, will have to utilise additional Force abilities and new lightsaber fighting styles to fight an “expanded” host of enemies, and will have to explore new and familiar planets, each with “unique biomes, challenges, and enemies”.

The game promises “new skills, equipment, and abilities” that will help you explore larger areas with “more to discover off the beaten path”.

Alongside the above, the Steam listing confirmed that a basic edition of the game will be available alongside a Deluxe Edition, both of which come with several cosmetic pre-order items.

The ordinary edition of the game comes with a Hermit Cosmetic and Hermit Lightsaber set, as well as a Combustion Blaster set. The Deluxe Edition, meanwhile, includes the Galactic Hero Cosmetic Pack and the New Hero Cosmetic Pack, both of which include one Cal skin, one BD-1 skin, and a blaster or lightsaber skin.

An official release announcement will likely come on Thursday at The Game Awards, along with some gameplay, so check back soon!
