God Of War Ragnarok Chapter List

The 18 chapters of God Of War Ragnarok follow The Path, the game’s main story, and through it, you’ll play as both Kratos and Atreus as they reunite with old friends, make new allies, and face new and old foes as well as terrifying mythological beasts.

The chapters within the game all vary in length as some can take as little as an hour to complete while others take significantly longer. None of the chapters can be skipped, and there is no chapter select. However, the game’s final chapter – Beyond Ragnarok – serves as an epilogue where you are given free roam of most realms and can tie up loose ends.

It’s during the epilogue where we suggest you finish any remaining Favours and optional boss fights, track down any last collectables and unlock the secret ending to God Of War Ragnarok.

We’ve made a list of all the God Of War Ragnarok chapters below:

  1. Surviving Fimbulwinter
  2. The Quest For Tyr
  3. Old Friends
  4. Groa’s Secret
  5. The Lost Sanctuary
  6. The Reckoning
  7. The Runaway
  8. Into The Fire
  9. The World Of Fate
  10. Forging Destiny
  11. Unleashing Hel
  12. Reunion
  13. Creatures Of Prophecy
  14. Unlocking The Mask
  15. Hunting For Solace
  16. The Summoning
  17. The Realms At War
  18. Beyond Ragnarok

As you play the game, you’ll find that some areas, side quests or collectables aren’t immediately available to you. You’ll unlock various abilities as you work through the game and can backtrack at any time or during the epilogue to progress.

If you’re looking to platinum the game and get the complete experience, you’ll need to return to most locations later on. The best time to do this is after the main story has been completed during the epilogue. By then, you should have some of the best armour, more skills, and plenty more abilities to help you – very important for some of the tougher side bosses and challenges!

How Long Is God Of War Ragnarok?

God Of War Ragnarok is a longer game than its predecessor, and we’ve found that the main story can take you up to 25 hours, with the exact time depending on the difficulty you play at, how much side content you complete, and your overall skill.

If you’re looking to acquire the game’s platinum, God Of War Ragnarok can take up to 50 hours to complete, as you’ll need to grab all collectables and complete secondary activities too, including all 47 Favours that we’ve listed here.

We hope our God Of War Ragnarok guide has helped you, and enjoy Kratos and Atreus’ adventure.
