Hexworks has confirmed today (October 29th) that its 2023 Lords of the Fallen will be enhanced for PlayStation 5 Pro.
According to the development studio, the PS5 Pro version of the Souls-like action RPG will benefit from a 40% increase in pixel density compared to the base console, allowing for a sharper image and finer details.
The game’s Performance Mode offers 4K60 upscaled from 1440p with 60 frames per second, sharper distinct details, and refined textures for characters and environments. Meanwhile, Quality Mode runs at native 4K30, offering intricate details across Axiom and Umbral at 30 frames per second.
Hexworks and CI Games have confirmed that today’s announcement is the first of future planned updates and enhancements for Lords of the Fallen across all platforms.
Lords of the Fallen, which we said was a “unique Souls-like carving its own path” in our review, was released in October 2023. Since then, it’s received countless content updates adding new quests, gameplay improvements, a boss rush mode, and more.
