Developer Denkiworks and publisher CRITICAL REFLEX have announced TANUKI: Pon’s Summer, a cosy adventure game that sees you play as a BMX-riding tanuki mailman named Pon.
The animated life-sim lets you explore a picturesque Japanese village and befriend its residents through an emoji-based dialogue system, while delivering packages and completing odd jobs for them.
You can ride your BMX and perform tricks, grinds, stunts, and flips, or enjoy the peacefulness of summer activities like fishing, bug catching, karaoke, baseball, and more.
Throughout all of this, you’ll work to unlock decorations to restore the Great Tanuki Shrine in time for the end-of-summer Matsuri festival.
A trailer debuted as part of the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2024 Broadcast, which you can watch below.
No release date has been announced, but TANUKI: Pon’s Summer will launch for Xbox One and Series consoles, as well as for PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
