Developer Terahard and publisher Yogscast Games have announced a brand-new life-sim that blends creature collection and cleaning simulation.

In Monster Mop Up, you’re recruited as a Custodian of the Ministry of Monster Concealment and must, either solo or with a friend, clean up after the fluffy Ragamuffin monsters who’ve made messes of homes, banquet halls, medieval hotels, and plenty of other spaces.

While cleaning, you’re also tasked with searching for and capturing any Ragamuffins lost in the human world to fill up your Monsterpedia, which lists each Ragamuffin’s name, age, and interests. To help you, the game offers a shop through which you can upgrade existing tools and purchase new equipment.

Outside of your new day job, you’re also able to expand your home and decorate with more than 150 furniture and decorative items to create a cosy space for you and your rescued Ragamuffins.

There’s no official release date yet, but Monster Mop Up is set to launch on PC in 2025. You can wishlist it now and try the demo on Steam!
