Public Transportation Showcased In New Cities: Skylines 2 Feature Highlight Video

Colossal Order has released its latest feature highlight video for Cities: Skylines 2, this time focusing on public and cargo transportation.

In the four-minute video, Colossal Order showcases the transportation methods featured in Cities: Skylines 2, starting with busses and taxis, which are the first two public transportation methods unlocked in new cities.

As your city grows, you’ll eventually gain access to trains, trams, and metros, which are more expensive to build but more efficient, as they can carry more people and cargo and reduce road congestion.

Metros can now operate above ground, unlike their counterpart in Cities: Skylines, and like the original game, you’ll be required to place tracks for trains, metros, and trams.

Ships are available in Cities: Skylines 2 too, which are slower than other transportation methods but carry more, and the game includes airports, which are the most expensive of all transportation methods.

The clip offers a brief look at all of the transportation methods, as well as some of the menus you can use to monitor your city’s transportation or simply toggle certain lines on and off.

This week’s video is the latest feature highlight, and it comes after Colossal Order offered a look into road construction and traffic AI and road accidents.

Cities: Skylines 2 launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles on October 24th.
