After unveiling a brand-new dark arts-themed trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022 yesterday, Avalanche Software will be sharing more news about Hogwarts Legacy as part of the Back To Hogwarts event on September 1st.

Wizarding World announced yesterday (August 23rd) that it will be holding a special presentation on September 1st as part of the Back To Hogwarts event, the day that marks the beginning of the first term at Hogwarts within the Harry Potter universe.

According to Wizarding World, the presentation will include news on Hogwarts Legacy, although it hasn’t been confirmed what kind of news we’ll get and whether or not that will include any new footage of the game. Fans can also expect some “spellbinding” live experiences and a first look at a “magical product”.

In other news, Avalanche Software Community Manager Chandler Wood unboxed the Collector’s Edition of Hogwarts Legacy, which comes with the Deluxe Edition of the game, a steel case, and a life-sized floating wand with book base, but is reportedly priced at around USD$300.

Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition of the game contains the Dark Arts cosmetic set, a Thestral-exclusive mount, the Dark Arts Battle Arena, and 72-hours early access to the game. Pre-orders will launch on August 25th, 2022, at 4 PM BST / 8 AM PT / 5 PM CET.

Hogwarts Legacy will launch on February 7th, 2023 for PC and PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
