Grapple Dog To Get Physical Switch Editions And Digital Xbox Release
Developer Medallion Games and publisher Super Rare Originals have announced that its 2D pixel-art platformer Grapple Dog is getting a physical Nintendo Switch edition and will be released on Xbox consoles digitally.
The news was unveiled as part of Grapple Dog Week, running this week between October 17th and 23rd, with numerous announcements, updates and giveaways planned.
The game sees you play as Pablo, the Grapple Dog, who embarks on a journey to stop robotic overlord Nul from destroying the world. On Pablo’s journey, you’ll need to explore six unique and colourful worlds with a total of 33 levels, each with hidden collectables, boss battles, secret areas, and bonus levels.
Grapple Dog will launch on Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles later this year, with an official release date to be announced soon.
Alongside a digital release on Xbox platforms, three physical editions have been announced for the Nintendo Switch, with a total of 5,000 copies available and split amongst:
- 3,000 Standard Editions: Includes the game, a full-colour manual, an exclusive sticker, trading cards, and interior artwork.
- 750 Steelbook Editions: Includes the game, all Standard Edition content, and a slipcover.
- 1,250 Collector’s Editions: Includes the game, all Standard and Steelbook Edition content, the original soundtrack CD, a sticker sheet, and a Pablo keyring.
The physical editions of Grapple Dog will be available from October 27th, 2022, at 6 PM BST and are available worldwide via superraregames.com.
Grapple Dog is available digitally on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
