Warner Bros. Announces Free-To-Play Platform Fighter MultiVersus

Warner Bros. has announced MultiVersus, its upcoming free-to-play platform fighter.

The Smash Bros-like upcoming game is set to release in 2022, and features characters from Warner Bros.’ entire portfolio, including Arya Stark, Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny, Batman, Shaggy, Superman, and several others.

Developed by Player First Games, MultiVersus differentiates itself from similar games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl by utilising a 2v2 team-based mechanic. Other modes available include 1v1 or four-player free-for-alls.

According to Warner Bros., the game will have a continually-expanding character roster. Characters announced so far include those mentioned above, along with Finn and Jake the Dog from Adventure Time, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Steven Universe, Garnet, and original character Reindog.

MultiVersus will release in 2022 for PC, and all PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and it will feature full cross-play support. You can check out the official trailer for the game below:
