If you missed it, Remedy Entertainment has delayed the launch of Alan Wake 2 to the end of October.

The game developer announced the news in a tweet yesterday (August 17th), confirming that the game has been delayed by just over a week from October 17th to October 27th.

Stating that October is an “amazing month for game launches”, Remedy confirmed the reason for the delay was to give “more space for everyone to enjoy their favourite games.”

The studio ended the tweet by reminding users that it will be making an appearance at Gamescom next week.

Alan Wake 2‘s delay from the middle to the end of October comes after Ubisoft moved the launch of Assassin’s Creed Mirage up by one week, with both moves aiming to provide some breathing room around Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Alan Wake 2 will launch digitally only on October 27th, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
