Sony Reveals PlayStation VR2 Release Date And Price

Sony has announced a release date and price for the upcoming PlayStation VR2 headset.

In a blog post published today (November 2nd), Sony revealed that the new PlayStation VR2 headset will officially launch on February 22nd, 2023, along with the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging station, which was designed specifically for the VR2 Sense controller.

The PlayStation VR2 will be available as part of two bundles. The first includes the headset, PS VR2 controllers, and stereo headphones, and is priced at £529.99/€599.99/$549.99/AUD$879.95/¥74,980.

The second bundle, priced at £569.99/€649.99/$599.99/AUD$959.95/¥79,980, includes the headset, headphones, and controllers, as well as a PlayStation Store voucher for Horizon Call Of The Mountain, a PS VR2 exclusive that was announced back in January.

In addition to the bundles, Sony will release the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging station, allowing you to charge your controller without having to connect it to the PS5 console. The charging station is priced at £39.99/€49.99/$49.99/AUD$79.95/¥5,480.

PlayStation has confirmed that during the initial launch of the headset, players based in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg will only be able to pre-order it via PlayStation’s online store, direct.playstation.com. In other markets, pre-orders will be available at participating retailers.

Pre-orders for PS VR2 will begin on November 15th. Players can register for pre-orders via direct.playstation.com from today right here.
