Developer Luminawesome Games Ltd. has announced a release date for its puzzle-platformer Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles.
Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles whisks players to an underwater-like neon world known as The Great Depths that is filled Motes, bioluminescent creatures that spend their lives in the Bioverse.
Players follow Lumote, who, after the Great Depths turn red, sets out on a quest to return the world to its natural blue. To accomplish his quest, Lumote must possess other Motes, jump, and solve a variety of puzzles to open the Flower Gates and find and defeat the Mastermote.
The game, which was originally called and released as Lumote, has been expanded significantly, with additional story and new challenges, puzzles, and collectables too. The Mastermote Chronicles will release as a free upgrade to those who bought Lumote on PC at its initial launch.
Luminawesome Games and publisher Wired Productions are releasing a limited physical edition of the game for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. It will include a double-sided folded poster, a reverse inlay, a unique set of stickers, a digital download for the Lumote EP, and instructions to crochet a Lumote.
Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles will release digitally in early 2022 for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It will also launch physically on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. You can check out the trailer for the game below:
