Lucid Dreams Studio Announces Metroidvania Souls-Like Game Biomorph

Developer Lucid Dreams Studio has announced their new game, Biomorph, a 2D Metroidvania-style Souls-like title.

The game is set in the city of Blightmoor, which you must rebuild while fighting terrifying monsters, meeting quirky characters, and uncovering the secrets of the fallen civilisation that once called Blightmoor their home, as well as the truth of your mysterious origin.

Biomorph will see you explore a vast and varied world consisting of 16 unique interconnected environments, each home to optional boss fights, interesting NPCs, numerous secrets, and upgrades to acquire.

You’ll need to solve puzzles and complete platforming challenges while fighting numerous enemies and taking their shape to use their skills against other enemies or to explore new areas. To help you, there’s an arsenal of melee and ranged weapons at your disposal, each of which comes with its own upgrade trees.

Biomorph is expected to launch in 2023 for PC via Steam and for Nintendo Switch too. Check out the teaser trailer below:
