Civilization VI’s Upcoming Leader Pass DLC Adds 18 New Leaders
Firaxis Games and 2K have announced the new Leader Pass DLC for Civilization VI.
The Leader Pass is a new season pass that will add a total of 18 new leader selections to the game. The leaders will be added via six individual DLC packs that will release between November 21st, 2022, and March 2023 for Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, MacOS via Steam and the Mac App Store, and iOS via the App Store.
The season pass adds 12 brand-new leaders to the game and six that offer new takes on existing Civilization leaders. Each comes with a suite of new or updated abilities alongside agendas that will “change the way you play”.
The first pack will release next week on November 21st. The Great Negotiators Pack will include Abraham Lincoln (United States), Queen Nzinga Mbande (Kongo), and Sultan Saladin (Arabia).
This will be followed by the Great Commanders Pack, which includes Tokugawa (Japan), Nader Shah (Persia) which requires the Persia and Macedon Scenario Pack to play, and Suleiman The Magnificent (Ottoman Empire) which requires the Gathering Storm expansion.
Pack three is titled Rules Of China, and it will include Yongle, Qin Shi Huang The Unifier, and Wu Zetian.
Pack four, Rulers Of The Sahara, will include Ramses (Egypt), Ptolemaic Cleopatra (Egypt), and King Sundiata Keita (Mali) which requires the Gathering Storm expansion.
The fifth pack, the Great Builders, will include Theodora (Byzantines) which requires the New Frontier Pass and Byzantium & Gaul pack, Sejong (Korea) which requires the Rise & Fall expansion, and Ludwig II (Germany).
The final, Rulers Of England, pack includes Elizabeth I (England), Varangian Harald Hardrada (Norway, and Victoria – Age Of Steam (England).
The Civilization VI Leader Pass will be available at no extra cost to anyone who owns Civilization VI Anthology on Steam for Windows and Mac and the Epic Games Store for PC.
The season pass will also be available as a separate purchase on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Mac and iOS App Stores. There’s been no announcement on the price of the season pass yet.
