Bandai Namco Amusement Europe has unveiled plans to open an “interactive retail experience store” in Camden, London, this summer.
The store, named the Bandai Namco Cross Store, has been hailed as the first of its kind outside of Japan, and was designed to celebrate the physical market as well as Bandai Namco’s heritage as a worldwide entertainment company.
The Bandai Namco Cross Store will consist of six shops – four of which are the first in the UK – that allow customers to “see, touch, and experience” characters, products, and events. They will offer a selection of “high-quality Japanese character products from collectables, card games, figures, and everyday items”.
The six shops launching as part of the Cross Store include:
Joining the six shops is an arcade experience and event space, and everything will open at the Stables Market in Camden Market.
There’s been no confirmation on an exact opening date for the Bandai Namco Cross Store, but it will open in July this year.
