Omega Warp, the debut sci-fi action-adventure game from Brazilian developer Cian Games, has received its first update and a new demo on Steam.

The 2D single-player game, which was released on June 19th, follows a repair team who are sent to investigate an interstellar freighter’s loss of communication with Earth.

By playing as either Lana Winfort or Stean Redfire and with limited saving, you’ll explore the freighter through its interconnected decks, uncover the mystery of what happened on it, upgrade skills, unlock powerful weapons, and fight dangerous and monstrous enemies.

A new demo is available on Steam, giving you access to the beginning of the sci-fi adventure, and it comes just as Cian Games, who we interviewed about the game and indie development, has released its first patch, adding:

  • Improved English localisation
  • Corrections in Brazilian Portuguese localisation
  • Improved responsiveness when changing weapons and using the jetpack
  • Fixed a rare bug when using a certain powerful weapon simultaneously with explosives

We’re currently reviewing Omega Warp, so check back for our thoughts on the game. In the meantime, why not give the demo a try?
