About SimpleGamer

SimpleGamer is a gaming guides website built on one simple idea: nobody should get stuck in a game they love.

Founded in 2020 by Fabio Crispim, a gamer with over 25 years of experience starting on a PS1 in the late 1990s, SimpleGamer exists to help players navigate the games they care about — from boss order guides and walkthrough strategies to collectible locations and beginner tips.

Here I am on Christmas Day 2003 after unwrapping Finding Nemo for the PS2.

I’m Fabio, the writer, editor, and researcher behind every guide on this site. Over the years, I’ve contributed to publications including Attitude Magazine and Metro, and I’ve spent hundreds of hours playing the games I cover.

I’ve been playing since the early 2000s, and my first game was Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. Since then, I’ve matured a bit and have gone on to play games that have made me laugh, cry, and reflect on what I know.

Some of my favourites have been Dark Souls, Elden Ring, the Alan Wake and Control series, as well as classics like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, The Sims, and my favourite PlayStation mascot: Sly Cooper.

I’ve enjoyed gaming all my life, and I want to spread that love.

My approach to guides is straightforward: play the game properly, understand where players get stuck, and write the clearest possible explanation.

I don’t publish guides I haven’t personally verified, and I update existing content when games patch or when I find a better way to explain something.

What You’ll Find Here

SimpleGamer’s focus is depth over breadth. Rather than covering every game superficially, I focus on building comprehensive guide hubs for specific titles — covering everything from your first hour to the final boss, with individual guides for the moments players find hardest.

Current guide hubs include Dark Souls Remastered and Elden Ring, with more in progress.
